This Monday, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Polytechnic University of Tirana hosted the President of BALFIN Group, Samir Mane, for an inspiring session with students. A former student of the university himself, Mane shared his personal journey as an entrepreneur and the vision behind BALFIN’s growth across Albania and beyond.
Accompanied by Erion Avram, Executive Director of BALFIN Development, Mane presented some of the Group’s landmark projects, including Tirana East Gate (TEG) and Univers Shopping Center (QTU). Avram highlighted how these strategic developments have transformed their surrounding areas, boosted economic potential, and delivered tangible benefits to the local community.

“TEG, now the largest shopping center in Albania, has turned Lundra from a peripheral area into one of the capital’s most desirable locations for living, business, and services,” Avram explained.
Mane emphasized that BALFIN projects are more than infrastructure investments—they create both economic and social impact, locally and nationally. “Since the opening of TEG, over €1.2 billion in additional investments have flowed into the area from business, commercial, and residential entities,” he said.
The discussion also focused on opportunities for students to collaborate with BALFIN or explore professional paths within the Group, both in Albania and abroad. “BALFIN is open to young talent. We encourage students to contribute from the earliest stages of project development, bringing their ideas and creativity to initiatives that shape the country’s future,” Mane stated.

Students engaged in discussions about urban development, contemporary architecture, and sustainable growth, exploring potential collaboration opportunities with the Group. Sessions like this reflect BALFIN’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent, promoting professional development, and fostering the next generation of leaders in development and innovation.
