Position Title: Architect

Department: Retail Project Development
Reports to: Director of Retail Project Development

Position Purpose:

To create and develop construction projects that are functional and aesthetically pleasing, ensuring they meet building standards and legal regulations. The architect must balance user needs with aesthetics and project efficiency, coordinating with other professionals and managing resources to deliver a sustainable and suitable result for everyday use.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with other professionals regarding project design;
• Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to supervisors;
• Stay within financial budgets and deadlines;
• Produce detailed work, drawings, cost estimates, and specifications;
• Complete details, finishes, and various additions as needed and oversee implementation, ensuring correct execution of projects and estimates;
• Negotiate with contractors and other professionals;
• Prepare applications for planning and building control departments;
• Manage the project by helping coordinate contractors’ work;
• Monitor the project from start to finish; conduct regular site visits to check progress, ensuring the project is on time and within budget;
• Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction;
• Ensure the environmental impact of the project is managed;
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor based on department needs.

Qualifications:

Education: university degree in Architecture.

Skills: Excellent computer knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, ArchiCAD, etc.

Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with significant exposure to risk.

Work Experience: 10 years of experience in the same or similar position. Previous experience as a Site Architect is valued.
