Tirana Bank, in collaboration with Tirana Business University (TBU), has successfully launched the second edition of the Startech program, an initiative designed to foster innovation, develop young people’s technological skills, and strengthen the bridge between academia and the banking sector.
The event took place at the TBU campus, bringing together students, technology and finance professionals, and senior representatives from the bank.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Olivier Baur, Deputy General Manager of Tirana Bank, shared his vision on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation within the banking industry.
“Banks are shifting from traditional processes to automated systems that are faster, more efficient, and require significantly less manual work,” he stated. “Digital transformation is no longer a trend, but a necessity to deliver superior experiences and optimized costs for customers.”
He emphasized that today’s customers expect personalized, instant, and seamless services, adding that the banks investing in technology today will be the ones leading the sector in the years ahead.
