AlbChrome has responded to the request of the Municipality of Bulqiza to help improve the conditions of one of the city’s nurseries by carrying out its furnishing before the beginning of winter.

The nursery is attended by 60 children aged 1 to 3 years. Now these little ones will spend a warmer winter as the interior is furnished from scratch thanks to the contribution of AlbChrome. It is equipped with furniture, beds and dining tables for children who spend part of the day here.

Shazie Basha, the nursery’s director, seemed enthusiastic about this support: “The new donated equipment create a much more comfortable atmosphere for the children. Special thanks goes to Balfin Group and Albchrome for this donation. Thanks to their support, children already enjoy a more comfortable and warmer environment, with all the necessary parameters, in order to best develop their daily programs”.

The director of AlbChrome mine in Bulqiza Mikel Demçe said: “After the Municipality of Bulqiza addressed the request to the President of Balfin Group Samir Mane, he immediately engaged our company to meet such a request, given the proximity we have with the community in question and the special attention that Mr. Mane has always showed for this community where we operate”.

Support for children and proper education for young people are at the heart of AlbChrome’s social contribution to communities. The furnishing of Bulqiza nursery is one of the many social supports for this city. Despite the severe crisis caused by COVID-19 in the mineral industry, the company will continue to support communities near the areas where it operates, this also in the frame of CSR policies of Balfin Group, which during 2019 alone delivered about 500 thousand euros in support to the various communities where it operates, not counting donations to earthquake victims.

AlbChrome has not stopped supporting pupils and high school students of Bulqiza, where in addition to the vocational high school “Asllan Keta” that is keeping up due to the company’s contribution, other pre-educational institutions are constantly supported, such as kindergartens and nurseries and the most talented students studying in Tirana in the Department of Geology-Mining, are also supported by the company with a full scholarship.
