Fashion Group Albania, as a company with over 95% female employees, tend to have a closer approach to the problems and issues that women and girls face in our society.
On this occasion, on the eve of the Year-End holidays, the company has decided to stay closer to the girls and women that life has faced with difficulties, and that are being reintegrated into social life. So together with the Albanian Women Empowerment Network (AWEN), Fashion Group Albania has been undertaken an initiative to donate and distribute women, girls and children clothing in some social centers across Albania.
More than 600 items has been picked up from all of Fashion Group Albania brands, as Prenatal, Okaidi, Mango, Geox, Carpisa, etc, mainly clothing and children’s mattresses, which will be distributed during the various activities that will take place within the framework of “The elimination of Violence against Women” day.
The first stop was at Infant and Psycho-Social Center “Vatra” in Vlora, a shelter that has been working for almost 20 years for social inclusion and integration into the society for the trafficking and violence victims.
The distribution calendar lasted throughout December, in several social shelters in Tirana, including “Të ndryshëm dhe të barabartë”, an organization that since 2004 provides reintegration services for trafficking victims, as well as at the Women Health Center in Kamza.
Aid distribution activities was arranged in various districts of Albania, as Elbasan, Peshkopi and Shkodra.
“We are happy to be close to the people who need our help on this New Year eve. We wish that these clothing bring warmth in these cold days, but also to convey support from our company,” – says Ornela Kastrioti, Fashion Group’s Marketing Director.
