TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania and member of BALFIN Group, is seeking to welcome a qualified and proactive candidate to join our MIS/Budgeting & Planning Department in the following position:

Overall Job Definition

The BI & MIS Unit Team Leader is responsible for working within the BI team to deliver complex reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Implementation and full maintenance of the new DWH/BI Platform of the Bank. New complex DWH modules/features development as well as new reports development and implementation.

Together with MIS/Budgeting & Planning Department Manager ensure the proper and timely functioning of the BI & MIS Unit, by ensuring fully compliance with the internal and external rules and policies, strategies, standards and procedures and improving information accuracy, quality and decision making efficiency. Ensure an efficient reporting system, aiming automation when possible.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and controls the job of the staff under her/his unit, ensuring the correct and accurate delivery, respecting the deadlines of the reports and analyses provided for the Bank’s and third parties users;
  • Responsible for performing permanent controls in her/his unit, to ensure the activity being conducted by the team is in compliance with the internal rules/regulations, legal and regulatory framework in place.
  • Assist in supervision of the implementation of the new operational reports required from external and internal users;
  • Assist in developing – maintaining of an efficient reporting system, aiming automation when possible;
  • Provide timely, accurate, relevant and meaningful financial and operational information to internal users as the Board of Directors, Executive Board, Senior and Middle management and other users inside the Bank;
  • Assist in maintaining, developing and implementing new DataWarehouse and Business Intelligence Platform
  • Ensure the smooth operation of DWH ETL processes and BI platform functionalities in daily basis
  • Implementation, maintenance and enhancement of Qlikview Platform by creating various dashboards based on specific requirements.
  • Design and plan scalable BI solutions and expertise in Data Warehouse, ETL, Cube and Report design and development
  • Gather business requirements, better understanding of technical specifications and creates proper reports
  • Perform analysis, design, development, validation and implementation of reports. Ability to analyze data issues within reports
  • Provide technical support on automation process of Management Accounting reporting mechanism, and other reporting packages in the future
  • Assist MIS/PB Manager and the other team members in various tasks and projects
  • Attend all trainings provided by the bank which are related to his/her work and to thrive to do his/her job as good as possible;
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties that may be assigned by the MIS/Budgeting & Planning Department Manager or CFO.

 

Competencies / Skills:

  • University Degree in Information Technology or Business Informatics;
  • Very good Knowledge of SQL and T-SQL Programing (Microsoft SQL Server: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Sharepoint);
  • Min 3+ years of working experience in this sector;
  • Excellent knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional) DWH and BI concepts;
  • Accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities;
  • Able to successfully manage and collaborate with teams;
  • Able to collaborate with superiors and departments within the company;
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once;
  • Result oriented;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English & Albanian).
