Position: Compensation & Benefits Manager
Location: Tirana
Summary: Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing the company’s compensation structures and benefits programs. This role ensures that policies and practices comply with current legislation, remain competitive in the labor market, and support the maintenance of internal organizational balance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensures internal and external compliance in all matters related to employee relations, including HR administrative activities;
- Prepares and manages the budget for compensation- and benefits-related costs;
- Periodically reviews and updates HR policies and procedures in line with legal changes and market trends;
- Designs and manages salary structures and compensation programs according to the company’s grading system;
- Administers and supervises the attendance tracking system as a supporting element in payroll calculation;
- Proposes revisions to benefits packages for specific positions based on market analysis and company needs;
- Prepares and executes monthly payroll on time, ensuring accurate reporting to relevant institutions;
- Updates electronically data related to salaries, maternity/paternity leaves, health reports, etc.;
- Maintains and updates the monthly employee registry and associated database records;
- Ensures completion and updating of workbooks and social security documentation;
- Oversees employee check-in/check-out processes and ensures correct reporting to tax authorities and labor offices;
- Monitors operational expenses (telephone, office supplies, etc.) and approves related reports;
- Processes staff allowances and reimbursements, monitoring associated expenses;
- Prepares files and documentation for state inspections (Labor Inspectorate, Employment Office);
- Responds to internal and external audit requests regarding HR matters;
- Implements internal procedures related to employee benefits, reimbursements, and payroll;
- Prepares analytical reports and other relevant information for HR, Finance, and Management as needed;
- Monitors daily reception/office coordinator processes to ensure proper administration of staff attendance;
- Proposes improvements to benefit packages in line with market developments and company strategy;
- Manages employee health insurance packages and maintains communication with selected insurance companies;
- Oversees the company’s HSE processes and manages communication with the service provider;
- Supervises the procurement process through the enabled system.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in compensation and benefits management, HR operations, or related roles;
- Strong understanding of compensation structures, benefits programs, payroll processes, and labor legislation;
- Knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and compliance requirements;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detali;
- Proficient in HR software and payroll systems; MS Office proficiency is required;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Strategic thinking with a focus on aligning compensation and benefits with company objectives;
- High level of integrity and confidentiality;
- Fluent in English.
