Job Summary: The Construction Technician is responsible for continuously monitoring the progress of work on the site, consulting and being guided by the team engineer and the site engineer. They stay updated on the project’s phases and meticulously follow the implementation of technical conditions in construction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Closely monitors the continuous progress of work on the site during all phases of the works.
- Distributes tasks, organizes workgroups, and guides the workgroup foremen on daily tasks.
- Responsible for the overall performance of the team.
- Ensures that each worker is equipped with the necessary workwear and assigned tasks.
- Verifies the work site where workers will be working and keeps a record of high-risk tasks. Takes measures to ensure work is conducted under normal conditions.
- Ensures that the material base is not wasted and is consumed according to the norms specified in the technical sheet.
- Monitors the execution of works in accordance with the project, technical specifications, engineer’s instructions, and technical implementation conditions (KTZ).
- Informs the team engineer and site engineer about work progress, daily issues, defects identified and provides suggestions for improvements.
- Keeps the site logbook, work timing records for the team, and tracks the work areas where they have been assigned.
- Passes data to the team engineer and preventive engineer for preparing the measure register.
- Prepares the minutes for various construction works.
- Coordinates work with the site engineer on different work fronts to ensure the continuity of the works.
- Coordinates with the team engineer to determine daily priorities and assigns tasks to workers.
- Carries out material control, checks the quantities arriving, and organizes their placement.
- Provides continuous assistance to the engineer both in the office and on-site.
Education: Must hold a high school or technical diploma.
Requirements:1Must have similar work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in project implementation.
- Ability to read projects, understand, and apply KTZ.
- Good skills in control, organization, and reporting.
- Willingness to implement innovations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexible to work extended hours.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
