Summary: The Custom agent is responsible for preparing and submitting the necessary documentation for the import and export of goods, in accordance with national and international customs regulations. This position ensures that all customs procedures follow applicable legislation and that goods circulate without unnecessary delays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting customs declarations for import and export;
• Ensuring compliance of goods with customs rules and policies;
• Communicating with customs authorities and resolving any issues that may arise during the customs process;
• Consulting with clients on customs tariffs and necessary documentation;
• Maintaining accurate records of all customs transactions;
• Notifying clients of the status of goods and customs procedures;
• Monitoring changes in customs regulations and adapting to them;
• Respects occupational health and safety procedures, employee privacy and dignity, fire protection measures and environmental measures;
• Performs additional tasks on the orders of the direct superior.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Customs agent license;
• Work experience as a customs agent (at least 1-2 years for the standard position);
• Good knowledge of customs legislation and electronic declaration systems (e.g. ASYCUDA);
• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Knowledge of the English language;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
