We are seeking to welcome a qualified and collaborative E-Commerce Officer (Band 4T) to join our E-Channels Department reporting to the POS Unit Team Leader.
Overall Job Definition
The E-Commerce Officer ensures a smooth running of processes related to the E-Commerce service in the virtual environments of merchants. Collaborates with internal and external partners with the ultimate goal of the best functioning of this service and increasing business volumes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitors the entire process of requests for POS terminals/E-Commerce platforms from the beginning of the Merchant request to the final installation throughout the merchant life cycle.
- Collects, reviews and checks the procedural accuracy in each application for adding merchants. Ensures that the classification of merchants is according to the defined policies and approval procedure.
- Prepares and monitors the technical progress of the e-commerce platform (or physical POS terminals if necessary).
- Collaborates with bank partners and payment schemes (VISA and MasterCard) for all requests that assist in technological developments of electronic payment acceptance (e-commerce / POS), including participation as a member in development projects according to time limits
- Monitors the local market and technological developments within and outside the country related to the electronic payment acceptance service.
- Follows and monitors onboarding requests, technical assistance and resolution of complaints related to the use of the e-commerce platform (or POS terminals if necessary).
- Manages the registration/modification/closure of e-Commerce in all necessary systems, based on the relevant forms
- Follows dispute (chargeback) cases in cooperation with the Fraud Unit
- Performs periodic and ad-hoc control processes to ensure that the cooperation with the merchant is in accordance with the approved bank procedures as well as with international payment schemes (Visa and Master Card) and reports to the supervisor cases of non-compliance.
- Involved in preparing cases and proposing restrictive schemes aiming to prevent fraudulent behaviors and events
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by the manager within his/ her area of responsibility.
Competencies / Skills:
- University degree, preferably in Economic
- 2 years of experience in similar positions
- Knowledge of banking operations and electronic payment acceptance systems is a must, especially for e-commerce platforms
- Very good analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team, have initiative, be self-motivated and produce quality work with minimal supervision.
- Very good communication and writing skills
- Good knowledge of the English language.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft suite
