Overview

The Functional Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team. The role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that business needs are effectively met through appropriate and innovative solutions or process enhancements.

Main Responsibilities:

     Work closely with business units of various BALFIN Group companies to understand and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.

     Work closely with Transformation Department colleagues (Operations Process Analyst, Business Analyst, PMs, etc.) to ensure alignment of project goals.

     Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and use cases.

     Collaborate with developers, system architects, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of functional requirements.

     Participate in system design sessions, solution evaluations, and testing processes.

     Propose digital solutions and system re-designs based on digital knowledge and gathered business requirements.

     Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, coordinating testing activities, and validating results.

     Propose enhancements to the existing systems and support in the implementation of new systems.

     Identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities and propose effective solutions.

     Provide post-implementation support and coordinate issue resolution.

     Maintain documentation for functional processes, requirements, and system configurations.

      Prepare manuals/documentation for new systems/functionalities.

 

Requirements

Competencies and Skills

     Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics or information systems.

     Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

     Strong sense of urgency, proactive, adaptable, and resourceful with a pragmatic, solution focused approach.

     Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge

     Good business knowledge of CRM, ERP and HCM systems among others.

     Good functional knowledge and expertise.

     Experience in tech companies and consulting industries is highly valued.

     Good knowledge of tools used for parametrization, troubleshooting, configuration management tools, automated testing, etc.

     Good knowledge of issue tracking systems (Zoho, Jira, Freshdesk, etc.)

      Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and Visio.
