Job Position:             International Real Estate Investment Officer  

                                    (M&A/Private Equity Activity)

Overview

 

This role involves leading the execution of M&A transactions, managing due diligence, financial modeling, and investor & stakeholder communication. You’ll play a key role in driving strategic acquisitions, and other corporate finance activities related to International Real Estate.

You will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and managing investment opportunities in the international real estate market by conducting thorough due diligence on potential projects, assessing financial viability, and recommending investment strategies to maximize returns while managing risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams, negotiating deals, and contributing to the overall success of the organization’s international real estate investment portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support the execution of M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures in International Real Estate).
  • Develop complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, and scenario analyses.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research, including market sizing and competitive benchmark.
  • Manage and coordinate due diligence processes across legal, financial, tax, operational, and strategic streams.
  • Prepare high-impact presentations and investment memos for internal committees & senior management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with investment banks, advisors, consultants, and legal counsel.
  • Supervise and mentor junior analysts or associates, if need be, in the future.
  • Contribute to sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating potential investment or acquisition opportunities.

 

Portfolio Management post Deal Execution

  • Oversee multiple real estate development opportunities, ensuring they align with the group’s international expansion strategy.
  • Monitor project acquisition timelines.
  • Work closely with the local development managers to understand project status, challenges and opportunities. Facilitate communication and collaboration between head office and local teams.
  • Actively manage the international real estate investment portfolio, optimizing performance and identifying opportunities for value enhancement.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing updates on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and market trends.
  • Communicate key insights, challenges, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.

 

Competencies and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CFA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment appraisal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the M&A lifecycle and deal mechanics.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.

  • Prior experience executing cross-border transactions.
