Position: Junior Civil Engineer

Job Summary: The Junior Site Engineer implements the directives of the Site Manager and oversees the works in compliance with the project, technical specifications, and KTZ, the applicable legislation in force, and occupational health and safety conditions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verification of project compliance and details (Identifying inconsistencies between architectural, structural, KUZ, and KUB projects, as well as underground engineering infrastructure), including reviewing details and providing technical solutions for implementation, along with the structural and architectural detailing of various elements;
  • Drafting and monitoring the work schedule according to the project and organizational plan;
  • Preparation and verification of all technical-legal documentation on-site, including minutes, measurement books, work progress reports, staking-out and inspection records, etc.;
  • Quality control and safety matters on-site, ensuring that all regulations are followed according to QA/QC and HSE management standards and applicable rules;
  • Supervision of subcontractors and taking necessary measures to meet legal requirements for technical safety on-site;
  • Monitoring the quality of raw materials delivered to the site by various suppliers;
  • Approval of materials implemented on-site;
  • Ensuring that work execution aligns with the company’s quality management policy;
  • Acceptance of completed works and conducting regular inspections;
  • Preparation of snag lists or records of deficiencies and unfinished work as part of the commissioning process;
  • Strict implementation of contractor agreements;
  • Strict compliance with technical regulations and dress code policies;
  • Preparation of quality dossiers for specific imported materials that cannot be analyzed in the company’s laboratories;
  • Ensuring quality implementation in various technological processes during the execution of works;
  • Organization and coordination with dependent staff (technicians, foremen, plumbers, electricians, surveyors) for site activities;
  • Supervising the works, planning work fronts for different processes and contractors, and coordinating the work schedule between contractors where their tasks overlap at certain phases;
  • Identifying material needs and ensuring their proper management, along with the administration of machinery and workforce;
  • Preparation of daily and weekly reports on issues and project progress;
  • Periodic cost control in accordance with the budget;
  • Identifying, planning, and calculating the volumes for budgeted work items as well as new or unforeseen work items.

 

Education: Possess a university degree in Civil Engineering.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Up to 3 years of work experience in Civil Works (construction & finishes);
  • Ability to read, understand MEP projects, and coordinate work with these disciplines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and explain projects, business correspondence, contracts, procedures, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to manage various specific projects and contracts related to construction projects.
  • Ability to effectively present issues, excellent verbal and written communication skills, report preparation, etc.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in using computer programs (CAD, EXCEL, MS-PROJECT, REVIT, etc.).
