Position:           Mechanical Works Supervisor

Location:          Palasa

Summary: Mechanical Engineer, as part of the Supervision Unit, supports the manager and the unit in their daily tasks related to overseeing the smooth implementation of all mechanical works. This is done in accordance with the co-investment contract, project documentation, technical design and implementation specifications, as well as the intended purpose of the facility.

Main Responsibilities:

• Follows the progress of mechanical works (HVAC, firefighting systems, etc.) throughout all phases, from implementation to final commissioning, including the building’s and infrastructure’s hydraulic installations, water supply, and drainage systems;
• Ensures that all works are executed in compliance with the approved designs (Building Permit Project, Implementation Project) and within the timelines defined in the contract;
• Ensures that the materials used on site comply with the approved project specifications;
• Requests testing of construction materials used in the project, in cases where such tests have not been adequately performed, based on implementation volumes and the supplied raw materials, to verify quality;
• In case of identified implementation defects, immediately informs the Technical Supervision Unit Manager and prepares a report on the deviations from the approved project;
• Monitors the execution of the detailed construction schedule and reports to the Manager on its progress;
• Provides periodic reports (weekly/monthly) to the Manager, highlighting issues and the progress of implementation phases;
• Assists the Manager in collaborating with other departmental staff involved in the project;
• Assists in project development and evaluation to determine feasibility and whether the project is worth undertaking;
• Provides technical consulting on specific aspects of project management that are beyond the Project Manager’s expertise;
• Participates in and supports the preparation of maintenance manuals for hydrotechnical installations;
• Performs other duties assigned by the Unit Manager.

Education: University Degree – Mechanical Engineering

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in the execution of mechanical-hydraulic works;
• Ability to propose solutions and support decision-making;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions;
• Detail-oriented with the capability to provide technical solutions for projects;
• Ability to work effectively within a team;
• Strong knowledge of current construction legislation and applicable technical standards;
• Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of additional foreign languages is considered an advantage;
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) and the MS Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); familiarity with BIM software (such as Revit) is an advantage.
