Position: Reporting and Control Supervisor

Overview

The Reporting and Controlling Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes across ACREM and its managed shopping malls. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all financial deliverables, while supporting strategic planning and decision-making.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the company’s reporting and budgeting processes in accordance with internal deadlines and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly financial and business reporting packages, both at an individual and consolidated level, for management, shareholders, creditors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of financial performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable recommendations for decision-making at the company and shopping center levels.
  • Lead the preparation of preliminary budgets and business plans in collaboration with relevant departments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), maintaining accuracy and consistency with internal policies and the financial calendar.
  • Design and implement financial controls and standardized procedures to enhance transparency and efficiency in financial and business operations.
  • Support the Finance Director in developing and implementing internal financial controls in line with group policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated financial models to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.
  • Manage and report on internal controls on a monthly basis at both the company and shopping center levels, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
  • Perform checks on key accounting processes, including accounting entries, tax documentation, cash/bank reconciliations, invoicing, collections, and payments, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify the accurate and timely recognition of expenses and the correctness of provisions to avoid unregistered liabilities.
  • Assist the Finance Director in designing and implementing the company’s overall financial strategy.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial systems, reporting systems, and process automation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring efficient collaboration, timely documentation, and prompt resolution of findings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to assess the financial feasibility of new investments and projects.
  • Train and support junior finance team members, fostering professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Promote effective communication and strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business priorities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting. Certification or in the process of obtaining certification for ACCA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing, preferably in asset management, retail, or real estate.

Other Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial planning methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Results-oriented and meticulous attention to detail.
