Job Summary:

The Security Manager oversees and manages the security operations at Green Coast. The manager ensures the safety of our residents, guests, staff, property, and assets, while maintaining the highest standards of service and security practices. As a key member of our management team, you will report directly to the Resort Director and work to implement, monitor, and continually improve security protocols to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.

 

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversees day-to-day security operations of the entire resort, ensuring the safety of all residents, guests, staff, and property.
  • Assists and reports directly to the Resort Director in the creation, execution, and continuous improvement of security plans, policies, and procedures that align with the resort’s standards.
  • Regularly checks and maintains fire protection equipment, reports on the condition of all safety systems, and ensures their operationality and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conducts training for the security staff and other resort personnel on the proper use of fire protection and safety equipment.
  • Develops and implements the emergency plan, including who is part of the emergency group, and intervenes together with them in case of emergencies.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate records of all security incidents, accidents, and actions taken.
  • Leads the planning, installation, and ongoing maintenance of all security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and other safety elements. Ensures all security systems are functional and in place, working with relevant parties to address any issues.
  • Supervises the performance of external security contractors, ensuring that all duties are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Monitors the security control room, including CCTV and access points, to maintain a comprehensive overview of the resort’s security situation.
  • Conducts regular inspections of resort premises, including the villas, Lungomare, La Vista, and surrounding areas, to ensure compliance with security regulations and the resort’s operational policies, and identifies any misuse or violations.
  • Provides ongoing training and professional development for the security team. Ensures all security personnel are well-equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to effectively handle any situation.
  • Conducts regular security briefings, training sessions, and drills.
  • Prepares detailed weekly and monthly reports on security operations, the status of security systems, incidents, and recommendations for improvement. Keeps senior management informed about any security-related issues or risks.
  • Proactively suggests and implements new security technologies, practices, and strategies to improve the resort’s overall security measures.
  • Ensures compliance with all state laws related to resort security.
  • Maintains continuous contact with the State Police and the MNZSH (Fire Protection) forces of the area.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, safety regulations, and best practices to continuously enhance the resort’s safety protocols.
  • Takes an active role in protecting the resort’s assets, including resident/guest belongings, staff equipment, and resort property.
  • Assesses risks, manage security budgets, and provide recommendations for additional security measures as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, or a related field (diploma from the Academy of Security is preferred).
  • Certifications or trainings in security management, fire safety, or emergency response are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security management role, preferably in the hospitality industry, luxury resorts, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of modern security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and surveillance equipment.
  • Proficient with security management software, CCTV monitoring systems, and other technology used in modern security operations.
  • In-depth understanding of technical security regulations, fire safety standards, emergency response protocols and crisis management.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • A proactive, guest-focused approach to security, ensuring the safety of all resort visitors while providing exceptional service.
