Children attending Multifunctional Community Center and Health Center No. 7 near Nish Tulla in the city of Durres, will now have warmer and friendlier facilities thanks to the contribution of JUMBO Company, part of Balfin Group.
Thanks to the donations of this company, appropriate and functional products were placed in the Center’s outdoor and indoor spaces to make children’s visit to the Center an even more positive experience.
On November 4, JUMBO’s staff, representatives from the Municipality of Durres, as well as partners of this project, the organization “Terre des Hommes”, took part in an activity organized in sign of appreciation and thanking in the already re-qualified premises of the Nish Tulla Center.
In their speech, the Vice Mayor of Durres, Mr. Florian Tahiri and Mrs. Alketa Lasku, national director of Terre des Hommes thanked JUMBO for finalizing the initiative within the Balfin Group’s social responsibility.
The Balfin Group, of which JUMBO is also a part, pays special attention to social responsibility, to be closer to the communities and people in need and under the special care of the Group’s own president, Mr. Samir Mane implements a coordinated strategy for all Balfin companies, not only in Albania, but also in other countries where the Group operates. Also for many years, Balfin supports with his fund many children with autism spectrum disorders.
The Balfin Group is one of the few Albanian businesses focused on sustainable development in the communities it operates, adhering to the SGDs (Sustainable Development Goals), the UN Sustainable Development Goals, for which the Group has drawing up a genuine action plan following the steps of many international companies.
Of the fund dedicated to this purpose in 2018 worth € 452,000, € 70,000 has been allocated by the Balfin Group to the “Fund-Javë Ndryshe” Organization, while the rest of the fund has benefited communities through numerous local and international organizations, such as Terre des Hommes, Vizion NGO, Down Syndrome Albania, Worldvision, UNDP, Partner Albania and others.
