This mobile app represents a novelty in employee development, offering short, gamified learning sessions that take just 3-5 minutes per day. By harnessing the power of technology and gamification, Neptun Macedonia aims to provide continuous learning opportunities that enable employees to excel in their roles and contribute more effectively to the organization.

The Coach #StuddyBuddy App

Coach #StudyBuddy is a microlearning mobile application designed to engage Neptun Macedonia’s workforce through efficient learning experiences. The app is accessible to all employees, offering them the flexibility to learn at their own pace, wherever and whenever suits them best. With an emphasis on bite-sized lessons, the app ensures that learning doesn’t disrupt daily work routines, requiring only a few minutes each day.

The Coach #StudyBuddy app project was spearheaded by Neptun Macedonia’s HR department, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee growth and development. While the app itself was developed by a third-party provider, Neptun’s customization efforts extend to tailoring the app’s theme and visual elements to reflect the company’s branding and culture. “Coach #StudyBuddy includes short manuals and descriptions for different brands and products we offer, in order for employees to be able to learn all the about the functionality of new technologies,” says Cvetan Angelovski, Financial Analyst at Neptun Macedonia and one of the key people involved in the project.

One of the standout features of the app is its integration of gamification principles into the learning process. By incorporating game-like elements such as badges for successfully completed challenges like “Fast Answering”, “10 correct answers in a row”, “Regular Player”, etc., it transforms learning into an enjoyable and motivating experience. “We are currently working on an even more engaging rewarding mechanism for the Coach #StudyBuddy,” says Aleksandra Argir, Neptun Macedonia’s HR Director.
The app includes a comprehensive progress-tracking feature that enables employees to monitor their advancement. This real-time insight into their learning journey motivates employees to stay consistent and take ownership of their development. Moreover, the app’s algorithm identifies areas where employees might be struggling, ensuring that these topics are revisited for reinforcement. This targeted approach optimizes learning outcomes by addressing individual weaknesses.

Another quality is staying current. The knowledge base is continuously updated to reflect the latest developments, policies, and practices within Neptun Macedonia. This feature ensures that employees are consistently equipped with the most relevant and up-to-date information, enabling them to excel in their roles and adapt to changes swiftly.
