SPAR, Jumbo, and FGA’s long-standing cooperation with World Vision has once again proved successful in transforming lives in Albania throughout the past year. The contribution of BALFIN Group’s companies has resulted in free therapeutic sessions for 226 children with disabilities. In addition, it provided counseling services for parents and donations from the retailers and their customers, as published in the official World Vision Albania report.
Throughout 2022, the supermarket chain SPAR Albania, Jumbo stores, and fashion retailer FGA cooperated with World Vision Albania to provide support to children and families in need. The BALFIN Group companies donated necessary products and sale proceeds. Moreover, they conducted campaigns to raise in-kind and monetary donations by joining forces with customers.
The sale of SPAR water bottles raised over ALL 530,000 for World Vision Albania, which contributed to the “Tungjatjeta…jetë” program. In addition, Jumbo and SPAR Albania customers made donations of over ALL 923,000 in World Vision donation boxes located in stores. As a result, the program provided specialized therapeutic sessions for 226 children with disabilities and counseling for 234 parents in the rural and suburban areas of Librazhd, Prrenjas, Dibra, Bulqiza, Lezha, and Rrogozhina.
3.7 tons of food items were gathered in cooperation with Food Bank Albania in SPAR Albania supermarkets. World Vision Albania distributed them to 90 families in need in Vau i Dejës, Librazhd, Rrogozhinë, Dibër, and Kamëz.
Furthermore, Fashion Group Albania donated 450 items of clothing to communities in need in Prrenjas and Kamëz.
“We are grateful for the support and hope to expand our cooperation in the future. On behalf of our team and the families of children and youth whose lives have been positively altered, we thank BALFIN Group, SPAR Albania, Jumbo, and Fashion Group Albania,” said Eljona Boce Elmazi, National Director of World Vision Albania.
