BALFIN Group continues its tradition of bringing employees together through sports. For the twelfth year in a row, BALFIN National Volleyball Championship was held, with 10 teams participating, each representing a company within the Group.
This important event in BALFIN Group calendar ended with a strong final, where the team from ACREM was declared the winner. The trophy was handed over by the Chief Executive Officer of BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, who praised the championship as an event that best promotes team spirit among employees and the companies in the group.
From the beginning of May until June 23, 10 teams from BALFIN Group companies competed against each other for the championship title. The teams from BALFIN shpk and ACREM reached the final match, which took place at the “Feti Borova” Olympic Hall in Tirana.
The final game had a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere, boosted by the support of other BALFIN Group employees who came to cheer for their colleagues.
Under fully professional rules, four sets were played, and the championship ended with ACREM’s team winning the match 3-1.

After the final match between BALFIN shpk and ACREM, the CEO of BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, gave a welcoming speech. She praised the championship as a reflection of BALFIN’s strongest values, highlighting especially the team spirit among the employees.
“This team spirit has allowed us to build professional teams within our companies, create synergy between them, and grow quickly, making each of our companies a leader in their markets”, – emphasized Edlira Muka.
The Chief Executive Officer of BALFIN Group also talked about the size of the championship and what to expect next year.
“Next year, BALFIN National Volleyball Championship will feature three new teams: Kiabi, Flying Tiger, and Green Coast Hotel. This shows that the championship is growing together with BALFIN Group, both in size and in energy,” she said.
These new teams are expected to be formed from the workgroups created through BALFIN’s latest strategic partnerships with global brands Kiabi and Flying Tiger Copenhagen, as well as Accor Group — one of the world’s leading hospitality networks — with whom BALFIN has brought the luxury Green Coast Hotel – MGallery Collection to southern Albania.
The captain of the winning team, Gazmor Guri, said about the trophy, “The fact that we have been champions for four years in a row makes it even more exciting for the team, the members, and for me as the captain.”

Referee Artan Pogoni called the championship a “great initiative”.
“This event is a fun activity that helps in two ways: improving work life and promoting enjoyment of sports. Everyone knows that sports encourage socializing, stress relief, healthy competition, teamwork, and discipline. I believe BALFIN Group has made an excellent decision with the National Volleyball Championship”, said Artan Pogoni.
As in previous editions, the 12th edition of the championship also included several other awards.

The “Best Female Player” award went to Marianxhela Lila from the BALFIN shpk team.

The “Best Male Player” award went to Ageljos Zhllima from ACREM team.

The “Fair Play” award was given to Balfin Development team and accepted on its behalf by Odeta Jorgji, Talent Acquisition Specialist.

The end of BALFIN National Volleyball Championship opens the way for another similar event, even bigger in scale. In November, BALFIN International Volleyball Championship will take place, with participation from companies operating not only in Albania but also from companies in the region.
