Position: Senior Finance Specialist

Job Summary: The Senior Finance Specialist monitors and prepares the monthly financial reports of construction projects, ensuring compliance with IFRS and fiscal legislation. The role includes overseeing the financial performance of projects, inventories, and cash flow, as well as assisting with balance sheet closures, audits, and management reporting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and prepare monthly financial reports related to the company’s projects.
- Prepare and monitor various financial reports, including:
- IFRS-compliant reporting
- Company asset reporting-
- Purchase and sales ledger declarations
- Monitoring of VAT credit coefficients
- Analyze the results of inventory counts for project assets and materials under responsibility.
- Coordinate and lead the inventory process for project materials.
- Assist in the annual financial closing and in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Assist in addressing and fulfilling auditors’ requirements during the audit process.
- Follow construction projects from the initial phase through handover to the investor, including:
- Recording transactions in the accounting system
- Warehouse stock issuance
- Analysis of project inventories
- Control and analyze supplementary project expenses.
- Review progress reports and monitor the financial performance of projects.
- Verify and record purchase and sales invoices for assigned construction projects in compliance with applicable fiscal legislation.
- Review the accounting treatment of purchase and sales invoices in accordance with current fiscal legislation.
- Monitor monthly declarations of Purchase and Sales Ledgers, VAT, and withholding tax.
- Reconcile and periodically review accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Create, coordinate, and monitor financial reports generated by the Finance Department in line with management requirements.
- Analyze and monitor the implementation of departmental procedures and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and analyze the company’s cash flow on a periodic basis.
- Perform detailed reviews of monthly expenses and revenues.
- Oversee the asset inventory process and prepare accounting/physical analyses of company assets.
- Oversee physical inventory processes and prepare accounting/physical analyses of warehouse items.
- Cooperate with the company’s auditors during audit processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
Education: Hold a university degree, preferably at Master’s level, in Finance or Accounting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance/accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and reporting in accordance with National Accounting Standards, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Good knowledge of fiscal legislation (VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage complex situations.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Results-oriented, with the ability to identify, follow up on, and bring issues and problems to final resolution.
- Knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Navision).
- Good command of the English language at a professional level.
- Previous experience in construction or investment companies (preferred).
