Job Position: Senior Investment Specialist

Overview
The Senior Investment Specialist is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the Group’s investment portfolio, preparing comprehensive financial and business analyses, and supporting strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and exits. The role plays a key part in evaluating investment opportunities, enhancing portfolio performance, and aligning financial planning with organizational growth objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Business Plan & Business Modelling:
Conducts in-depth market analysis and benchmarks for Group industries, identifies sector trends in reporting matrix and supports strategic decision-making.
Prepare regular investment monitoring reports, including monthly performance updates for project and portfolio companies.
Prepare report on return on investments for projects and companies.
Develops business plans for new projects at Group level and supports Treasury Manager in application for securing financing.
Prepares financial analysis and financing models for investments.
Prepares and monitor financial ratios based on industry benchmarks for individual companies and/or sectors.
Assists in exit plans for targeted companies.
Participates in merger and acquisition projects for targeted companies and coordinates due diligence with external parties.
Assists the companies in performing business valuations and prepares the Group overall valuation.
Prepares and updates valuation guidelines, investment monitoring guidelines and industry KPIs.

Competencies and Skills
Competencies
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel and financial software.
In-depth knowledge of investment appraisal techniques, business valuation methods, and financial metrics.
Experience with market research, benchmarking, and industry trend analysis.
Ability to prepare detailed business plans, investment reports, and financial forecasts.
Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategy processes.
Understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and funding mechanisms.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
A master’s degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferrable.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
Proven track record in preparing business plans, financial models, and investment reports.
Experience in mergers & acquisitions and exit planning is a strong plus.
Familiarity with industry-specific market dynamics (optional, based on sector).
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Additional language skills relevant to the Group’s markets may be an advantage
