BALFIN Group hosted six high school students of Junior Achievement of Albania in the framework of its “Leader For A Day Program”. The distinguished students were stationed in the headquarters of BALFIN Group, Fashion Group Albania, Jumbo Albania, Scan TV, and Tirana Bank, where they job-shadowed its senior directors and applied their original decision-making skills.
Every year, several BALFIN Group companies enable high school students to accompany their directors for a full workday, receiving a practical experience in operations, management, and decision-making. Likewise, BALFIN Group, Fashion Group Albania, Jumbo Albania, Scan TV, and Tirana Bank responded to the recent call of JAA, hosting six high school students from Tirana, Elbasan, Korça, Përmet, Kuçova, and Kukës.
BALFIN Group’s President, Samir Mane, welcomed two of these future leaders at the Group’s headquarters. Furthermore, he was also a guest of honor at the program’s final event, where he encouraged the participants to try and realize the entrepreneurial ideas they may have. “Leading people invokes a special kind of adrenaline that I wish to every inspiring entrepreneur. I am sure these elite students, too, will succeed in their ventures,” he said in his speech. BALFIN Group has created the B4Students program, to empower young people and improve their academic and professional training.

The “Leader For A Day” program has been organized for over 10 years by Junior Achievement of Albania and has already been accepted as an optional subject in the educational curriculum of secondary schools. Their main objective is to give young people practical skills that help them face the challenges of the labor market. About 1,860 pupils in 52 schools of the country have received knowledge and practical skills in financial and entrepreneurial education this year, which will accompany them in the first steps of their careers.
For several years, BALFIN Group has partnered with JAA to encourage and support entrepreneurship among youth, in alignment with its commitment towards education in the countries where it operates. The “Leader for A Day” Program has since been an opportunity for BALFIN Group to extend its contribution further, by fostering youth leadership and promoting the values it stands for in practice.
