Fashion Group Albania donates over 5,000 clothing items to families in need in Tirana

In cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana, Fashion Group Albania has donated clothes to families and people facing economic hardships. During a three-day “marathon”, employees of Fashion Group Albania and community centers of the municipality have distributed over 5,000 clothing items.

After being acquainted with the difficulties and shortcomings of many families in Tirana, Fashion Group Albania decided to hand over a part of the collection of the brands Mango, Cortefiel, Okaidi, Springfield, Geox, Carpisa, Parfois, Prenatal and Women’Secret to the Municipality of Tirana to distribute it to these families. The clothing items worth 25,000 Euros were distributed in three different areas of Tirana.

The staff of Fashion Group Albania was also involved in the preparation and distribution of the clothes. The employees of the company were engaged in the preparation of the clothing packages and closely followed a good part of the distribution to the families in need.

“Solidarity of partners with contribution to the Albanian society towards families in need is already a priority for the Municipality of Tirana. The Social Service of the Municipality of Tirana takes care in various ways to be as close as possible to families in need every day and to facilitate their integration in the community where they live. Fashion Group Albania has also been part of our cause “Helping families in need”. Together, we made about 500 families of the Municipality of Tirana smile,” says Anisa Subashi, Director of Social Services at the Municipality of Tirana.

This is not the first time that Fashion Group Albania donates clothes for individuals or families in need, within the framework of social contribution. FGA’s attention towards social groups in need will continue in the future, following the overall strategy of the BALFIN Group.

“FGA has a multifaceted contribution to improving the daily lives of communities. In addition to selecting clothing with ecological materials and providing employment for many young people, we have shown that we are always attentive to the needs of certain social groups,” says Ornela Kastrioti, Head of the Communication Department of FGA.

“Our social initiatives will continue in the upcoming months throughout 2021, focusing on clothes’ recycling as well as supporting children and those in need,” said Briseida Gogaj, Head of FGA Commercial Department during the distribution of the donation.

During 2020, Fashion Group Albania organized two major donation campaigns in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana and the organization Fundjavë Ndryshe, and another organization in Bulqiza.
