We are seeking to welcome a driven, detail-focused and analytically minded Officer (Band 4T) to join our AML/CFT Unit, Compliance Department reporting to the Head of AML/CFT Risk Unit, Head of Compliance Department.

Overall Job Definition

AML Risk Monitoring & Analysis Officer ensures implementation of AML/CTF rules in the branches Network/ Central Units and analyses customer’s ML risk.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Under the guide of the Head of Unit monitors on daily basis the correspondence with the General Directorate for Prevention of Money Laundering, and prepares the related correspondence;
  • Provides the staff with clarification to the issues concerning the application of KYC rules and AML/CFT procedures. Provides opinions upon request from Payment Unit and/or branches, on specific transaction(s).
  • Provides opinions upon request from business lines related to manual screening of individuals/entities/ against black lists of terrorism, proliferation, embargo and/or other sanctions;
  • Performs due diligence controls, upon request, for trade financing products;
  • Conducts permanent controls, as assigned and submits them within the defined deadline; The reports include, but not limited to: Prepaid loans, Wire transfer activity, Visa Fast Funds transactions, Screening and Monitoring system activity, quality and quantity of the alerts processed and other reports that might be implemented eventually as per Unit’s approved permanent controls and will be assigned to this position;
  •  Cooperates with the branches regarding the information addressed to our Bank by the local/ international financial institutions (Correspondent Banks), Bank of Albania, General Directorate for Prevention of Money Laundering, General Prosecutor Office, etc.
  • Prepares, in conjunction with the  Head of Unit, reports to the Responsible Authority, regarding:
    –          Information requested by the Responsible Authority on the customer
    –          RTV (Cash transactions daily report, for amounts equal or over LEK 1MIO)
    –          Suspicious transactions
  • Conducts daily monitoring and controls on customers’ transactions, especially those of large amounts, international fund transfers, foreign exchange transactions, and prematurely closed loans.
  • Timely and valid provision of the necessary data for the compilation of regular and extraordinary reports and data that the Department is obligated to submit.
  • Proposes to AML Unit Head and Compliance Manager suspicious activity reports for transactions or clients identified from the daily monitoring and analysis.
  • Involvement in Projects of the Compliance Department, when required;
  • Seeing to archive keeping and the Bank’s and the customers’ data security in the documents obtained.
  • Operates to the very highest levels of integrity at all times;
  • Performs other related duties as needed and/or as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements

Competencies / Skills:

  •  Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Management or related field.
  • 1-3 years of banking experience.
  •  Certifications in AML/CFT & KYC training area are preferable.
  • Strong understanding of the law and regulatory requirements related to the financial industry.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and anti-financial crime.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experienced in collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written in Albanian and English language
