Overview
The Capital & Investment Manager serves as the Group’s internal investment function, ensuring disciplined monitoring of portfolio companies and data-driven evaluation of new opportunities, enabling informed capital allocation decisions. The role encompasses three main pillars: M&A / Deal Execution, Investment Analysis & Valuation and Portfolio Management
Main Responsibilities:
Define and implement the group’s capital allocation strategy.
Identify new markets that fit in with the Group’s strategy and capital allocation.
Monitor subsidiaries’ financial performance and benchmark returns
Execute new investments, acquisitions, and JVs.
Run valuations, due diligence, transaction structuring, support negotiations.
Perform financial modelling & valuations of existing and potential investments.
Create Business plans for projects at Group level, supporting Treasury for new financing.
Manage divestments and exits of underperforming or non-core assets.
Oversee post-merger integration and ongoing portfolio value creation.
Main Deliverables:
Annual Capital Allocation Plan (including new and existing investments).
Portfolio performance dashboards and benchmarking reports/monitoring reports
Investment memos, deal models, and due diligence packages.
Exit/divestment recommendations and monitoring.
Post-acquisition performance reviews and integration reports.
Group Investment returns report
Group portfolio valuation report
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance required, Master’s degree is a plus
Previous experience with a big four audit firm is an advantage, TAS/FAAS.
CFA diploma or under way is a preference.
At least 7 years of progressive experience in advisory and transaction services.
Experience in developed markets and sectors like real estate, retail and banking is an advantage.
Strong experience in project management and aligning numerous stakeholders.
Experience in presenting and preparing proposals and recommendations.
Result oriented and excellent communicator.
Strong business acumen.
Excellent capacities in excel spreadsheets and developing models.
Self-motivator, capable of leading and motivating people.
English proficiency is a must
