Overview of the Role
The Merchant Expansion Manager is responsible for expanding and strengthening Happy pay’s merchant ecosystem.This role focused on identifyin,acquiring,and deleloping partnerships with merchants across varius industries to drive adoption of Happy pay solutions,including wallet payments,BNPL and monthly installment products.The position playes a key role in increasing transaction volume,improving merchant engagement, and ensuring a seamless integration of Happy pay servicesinto their sales processes.
Main Responsibilities
-Identify and onboard new merchants,across kye sectors(retail,electronics,fashion,furnitures,services,
Online stores)
Present and promote Happy Pay Solution(wallet,BNPL,monthly payments)to potential merchants
Negotiate commercial terms,commissions,fees,and partnership agreements
Maintain and grow relationship with existing merchants,ensuring continuous engagement and usage
Train merchant staff on how to use and promote Happy pay at their points of sale
Develop and execute joint marketing campaigns to increase transactions and customer adaption
Monitor performance metrics and analyze merchant activity to identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with marketing,product and tech teams for improvements,integrations,and new initiatives.
Prepare periodic reports on merchant acquisition,performance and market insights.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,Economics,Marketing,Finance or related field
Master’s degree in communication,business,marketing or related field
2-5 years of experience in Business Development,Sales,Merchant Acquiring or fintech/banking roles
Experience working with merchants,retailers,or payment solutions is highly preferred
Familiarity with digital payments,e-commerce,Pos systems,wallet products,BNPL Solutions(advantage)
Demonstraded success in achieving sales targets or driving partner growth.
Strong English Language skills(written&spoken)
Excellent communication,presentation,and negotiation skills
High level of proactivity,initiative and ownership
Valid driving license
