Position Overview:

 

The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for customers and a secure working environment for employees. He/she ensures the proper functioning of all security systems and that all company security processes comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. The Security Manager leads and organizes the security unit, collaborates with local authorities, and coordinates external service providers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for customers and employees.
    • Oversee the functioning of security systems such as CCTV, access control, theft alarms, and fire protection systems.
    • Be responsible for fire safety and the evacuation of customers and employees during emergencies.
    • Protect inventory value by preventing losses, damages, and thefts.
    • Maintain good relationships with local authorities (police, fire department, etc.).
    • Monitor compliance of work processes with company internal regulations and security measures.
    • Organize and conduct employee training on security, emergencies, fire prevention, and loss prevention.
    • Participate in drafting and implementing security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
    • Propose and implement security plans in collaboration with external contractors.
    • Prepare and manage relevant documentation (plans, contracts, guidelines, official documents, invoices, etc.).
    • Organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of the security department staff; prepare weekly schedules and assist in HR processes (recruitment, training, etc.).
    • Represent the company before local authorities, providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Collaborate with police, fire departments, and other institutions to ensure company safety.
    • Control compliance of merchandise movement and cash flow with internal regulations to prevent losses.
    • Take preventive measures against losses, theft, and damage of goods by customers or employees.
    • Regularly check the functionality of security systems and coordinate their maintenance.
    • Inspect fire safety equipment and ensure free access to emergency exits; perform mandatory monthly inspections.
    • Ensure all safety instructions are clearly displayed and visible.
    • Periodically inform and train employees on security and loss prevention.
    • Control access to the store for employees, external companies, and visitors.
    • Monitor external security services to ensure quality service and compliance with internal rules.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Logistics Manager or relevant authorities.

 

Requirements

  • Education: University degree from a recognized institution (Military Academy, Police Academy, Technical University, etc.).
    • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role.
    • Strong MS Office skills.
    • Training in self-defense, fire protection, etc.
    • Driving License: Category B.

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of security and protection legislation.
    • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
    • Strong time management abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • High integrity and strict adherence to rules and standards.
    • Flexibility to work varying schedules depending on the needs of the position.
