Position: Technical Director for Electrical Works

Job Summary: The Technical Director for Electrical Works is the company’s responsible person for all electrical installation works.
The TDEW ensures that all works are executed in accordance with the technical implementation requirements, project specifications, and applicable technical standards, as well as safety and occupational protection regulations. The TDEW also ensures compliance with contractual obligations and current legal provisions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares technical reviews (oponencies) of the execution projects received from the investor, assessing their feasibility and verifying consistency between the project, the bill of quantities, and the technical specifications.
- Prepares and approves procedures and standards for monitoring and controlling the execution of electrical works.
- Develops the strategy for dividing works into separate tender packages and prepares the necessary documentation for each package, according to the specific needs and priorities of each construction site.
- Monitors the execution schedule of electrical works.
- Ensures the provision of all necessary materials for connection to the infrastructure.
- Monitors the progress of electrical works during the execution phase.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of electrical subcontractors to ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with the project parameters and the bilateral contract.
- Identifies the market for electrical materials and installers, both local and foreign, and coordinates with other departments regarding selection methods.
- Coordinates work among the different teams on site.
- Reviews and approves monthly progress statements.
- Prepares and supervises the periodic maintenance of electrical installation systems during the defect liability period, keeping the project management team informed about any changes related to project completion timelines or modifications made by subcontractors.
- Compiles and coordinates the preparation of electrical installation maintenance manuals.
- Participate in drafting the technical safety regulations related to electrical installations.
- Performs other duties assigned, related to the function of the Technical Director for Electrical Works.
Reporting / Coordination
- Reports directly to the Technical Director.
- The engineers of the respective discipline must report to the Technical Director for Electrical Works on the progress of ongoing projects.
- The Technical Supervisor and the Project Manager of each project must keep the Technical Director for Electrical Works informed about project needs or issues arising.
Education: Hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering; specific qualifications related to the position are considered an advantage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of civil construction.
- Experience in Data and IT systems, CCTV monitoring systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, ventilation, cooling technologies, etc.
- Strong coordination skills in electrical works, ventilation, and cooling systems.
- Proficiency in schematic design, accurate programming, installation, and testing of electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of construction processes and materials, as well as project management principles.
- Experience with CAD and Microsoft Office software is an advantage, along with the ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of contract preparation for electrical installation works.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
