On the occasion of the decoration of Balfin Group’s President Mr. Samir Mane by the President of the Republic of Austria, H.E Mr. Alexander Van der Bellen, a ceremony was held yesterday evening at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Tirana, H.E. Mr. Johann Sattler.
Mr. Mane was handed one of the highest Austrian state awards by the Austrian Ambassador to our country, the “High Honor Decorate for Services to the Republic of Austria”, awarded by the Austrian president.
Ambassador Sattler said during the award ceremony that: “Austria is one of the most important players in the Albanian economy and you have played an extraordinary role in this success story with your investments, from shopping malls to tourism, from agribusiness to mining industry. You have made the connection between our countries possible. Also, you are a well-known regional investor in the Balkans and a contributor to society, by providing what is most needed for the community.”
Balfin’s President, highly honored by this appreciation, thanked the President of Austria stating: “My ties with Austria are very strong. I came to this country as an immigrant and returned as a businessman after 14 years, offering me a great opportunity. Doing business in Austria has helped me greatly to develop business in different countries, including Albania and I am sure that our cooperation will continue to be excellent in the future as well. ”
Mr. Mane made his first steps with AlbaTrade in Vienna, in 1993, and today he is president of Balfin Group, which has over 5,000 employees in Albania, in the region and beyond.
The activity of Balfin Group, which is related to Austria, apart from the trading of electronic goods, has been extended from several years in the field of construction. The group is developing a special residential project that is towards completion. The complex is located in the Altmünster area of Austria, which is a well-known tourist area.
