CEO of BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, a panelist in “Leadership for Purpose: Sustainability and Integrity”

The CEO of BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, took part in the conference “Purposeful Leadership: Sustainability and Integrity”, on December 2nd in Tirana. The conference was held in the framework of Integrity Week 2021, under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce. Directors and experts from the public and private sector, academics, NGOs, and young people discussed the role, challenges and importance that leaders play in building a culture of integrity within their company and society as a whole.

Edlira Muka was part of the panel of private sector senior executives that set an example in the best practices of building a culture of integrity in their structures, in the capacity of BALFIN Group’s representative as one of these corporations. In her speech, she emphasized BALFIN Group’s policies regarding social responsibility. “Youth and the environment are two key factors of our future, thus BALFIN Group’s focus on supportive initiatives has been constantly increasing. B4Students is a platform created to support talented students by expanding their knowledge on business and supporting their business and social initiatives. Last but not least, investing in empowering universities is an important component of this platform,” she said regarding youth support.

“In terms of the protecting the environment, we have a lot to talk about on our projects, but I want to emphasize the recycling of all paper-based packaging from all stores in QTU and TEG. We have managed to encourage all tenants, almost 300 stores in both malls, to collect all paper-based packages and recycle them,” she said.

The event was greeted by senior foreign and local personalities, including the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. Integrity Week in Albania is an initiative supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tirana since 2019.
