The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has once again chosen to partner with BALFIN Group, this time through Tirana Bank, reaffirming the Group’s position as a trusted regional player. As part of this initiative, EBRD is providing a total of €10 million in funding, which Tirana Bank will use to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promote green investments, and expand trade finance, helping Albanian businesses grow and compete internationally.

The funding is divided into two main programs:
- €5 million for green investments in SMEs through the EBRD SME Reboot Programme, enabling companies to invest in energy-efficient technologies, modernize operations, reduce costs, and improve competitiveness. Businesses can also receive grants of up to 10% of their investment, supported by international donors.
- €5 million in trade finance via the EBRD Trade Facilitation Programme, allowing Tirana Bank to provide guarantees and prepayments that support import, export, and local distribution of goods, strengthening cross-border trade and international business connections.
BALFIN Group has a proven history of working with EBRD, including projects such as TEG Shopping Center in Tirana, Skopje Gate Mall in North Macedonia, and Green Coast Hotel – MGallery Collection in Albania.
At Group level, BALFIN applies the same rigorous standards across all its companies, creating a consistent framework of governance, compliance, and operational excellence. These values make BALFIN Group a reliable and trusted partner for international financial institutions that share the same vision for responsible and long-term development.
