We are seeking to welcome a qualified candidate in the Business Risk Credit Officer (Band 4T) position to join our Business Credit Department reporting directly to the Manager of Business Credit Department.
Overall Job Definition
The Business Credit Risk Officer is responsible for ensuring that the loans are in compliance with the credit policies and procedures in force, the safety standards and guidelines as well as an acceptable level of risk undertaken by the bank.
Main Responsibilities:
- Processes, analyzes and assesses, in close collaboration with relationship officers and recovery officers, the proposals of Corporate, SME, BRU, WO departments;
- Prepares credit assessment by presenting credit risks and lending eligibility proposals, as per credit risk policy in force;
- Proactively follows the loan procedure up to the final decision (approval or rejection);
- Actively participates in discussions related to credit policies and procedures;
- Responsible for statistics reports and other periodical reports related to different credit aspects;
- Performs any other duty assigned by the supervisor, within his area of responsibility.
Requirements
Competencies / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economy or related fields;
- Min 3+ years of banking experience in similar positions;
- Very good knowledge of banking system regulations, credit processes and service;
- Sound knowledge of business financial analyses;
- Very accurate and attention to detail;
- Very good critical thinking; and analytical skills;
- Ability to work well as part of a team and meet deadlines.
- Very good spoken and written communication skills;
- Very good knowledge of English language (writing and speaking);
