Aiming for the students to ensure qualitative professional skills and employment on job profiles related to their studies at an earlier phase of their career, for the second time this year B4Students is organizing the Internship and Employment Program. Until December 2022, for 3 consecutive months, the selected students will be located in 10 companies of the BALFIN Group, becoming part of the banking, retail, real estate, and asset management industries.
This is the third call for the Internship and Employment Program by B4Students, in which over 650 students applied from over 25 institutions of higher education in Albania, public and private. During the first two calls, 170 students have grown professionally and a significant number of them have been employed during or at the end of the program at the respective companies. The students’ experience with the program is positive and they do not hesitate to share their assessment.
“During my internship at Tirana Bank, I realized the work culture that should be aimed. I was fortunate enough to work alongside professionals with a positive attitude, collaborative, and engaged to develop my new knowledge while executing my daily tasks and participating in internal trainings. The moment a job opportunity came up, I didn’t hesitate to apply. Today, I am happy to continue my professional journey at the Operations Department, an environment that encourages me to give my best, and always aim high,” says Valbona Çelkavaja, intern from the first edition, currently employed in the Operations Department of Tirana Bank.
Interns are an important part of the team. This aspect is appreciated by another student, Kejsi Ulliri, first-year intern, employed in the Finance Department at Jumbo, who shares that “From the first days of your internship at Jumbo, you understand that you add value to the team. You are respected, supported and your contribution is appreciated from colleagues.”
While Joana Marku, intern of the second edition, employed in the Commercial Department of Neptun Albania, says: “At Neptun I have appreciated the spirit of coollaboration and readiness to support from all colleagues and management staff, on both the professional and personal aspect. During the internship I was surrounded by people passionated about work, experienced in generating sales and suppliers management. This experience has helped me develop knowledge and practical skills, making new friends and challenge myself in a new career field.”
The Internship and Employment Program is just one of B4Students’ activities. Student registrations for the third edition of the Business Ideas Competition have recently started, while the next business challenge is expected to be launched soon, in collaboration with Scan TV, another activity dedicated to encouraging innovation and analytical thinking through conception and presentation of solutions for real problems. Also, at the beginning of the academic year, students clubs from all universities can apply financial support on the realization of project-ideas with positive social impact.
