JUMBO and MANE Foundation renovate kindergartens in Zenica and Doboj

JUMBO, in cooperation with MANE Foundation, has successfully completed the renovation of playgrounds in two kindergartens in Zenica and Doboj, creating safer, more engaging, and child-friendly outdoor environments for more than 245 children in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This latest initiative builds on JUMBO and MANE Foundation’s continued efforts to enhance educational and recreational spaces for children in the region, following earlier playground renovations in other communities as part of their long-term commitment to children’s well-being and community development.

The newly upgraded playgrounds are designed to encourage movement, imagination, and social interaction. With modern play equipment, bright colors, and improved safety surfaces, children now have a secure space where they can explore, learn, and grow through active play.

More than 80 children in Zenica and over 165 children in Doboj will benefit very day, supporting not only their physical development, but also confidence, teamwork, and social skills. Safe and stimulating play areas play an essential role in helping children build healthy habits and positive relationships from an early age.

Beyond the children, the impact of this initiative extends to families, educators, and the wider community. Parents gain peace of mind knowing their children spend time in a safer environment, while kindergarten staff can better support structured outdoor activities that contribute to learning and well-being. At a community level, improved public educational spaces help strengthen trust, inclusion, and a shared sense of care for the youngest generation.

For JUMBO, the project reflects a continued commitment to the communities where it operates. As highlighted by Dino Šuta, Country Manager of Jumbo BiH:

“Through our social responsibility initiatives, together with MANE Foundation, JUMBO aims to create a positive impact in the communities where we operate. Providing safe play spaces is an important step toward supporting children’s well-being and development.

Supported by MANE Foundation, whose mission focuses on improving living and learning conditions for children and families, this project is part of a broader, long-term engagement centered on community well-being and support for vulnerable groups.

With similar initiatives planned ahead, JUMBO and MANE Foundation continue to show how partnership, care, and consistency can create lasting positive change, for children and for the communities they call home.
