The Gallery of Contemporary Art, GOCAT, in Tirana opens its 2026 exhibition season with a striking and introspective solo show: “Lakuriq”, by artist Oltsen Gripshi, curated by Massimo Scaringella.

“Lakuriq” (Nude) is more than an exhibition, it is a journey through personal and collective experience, where the human body becomes a territory of internal worlds. Through a compelling suite of multimedia works, Gripshi encourages visitors to confront the ways in which our bodies hold memories, emotions, and social narratives.
The exhibition brings together video, installation, photographic elements, and interactive pieces that dissolve the barrier between art and lived experience. Visitors are not merely observers but participants, urged to reflect, sense, and engage in dialogue with the artworks and with themselves. Gripshi’s work speaks to vulnerability and visibility, exploring how cultural frameworks shape the way we see, expose, and protect the body.

GOCAT continues its mission to present cutting-edge contemporary art free of charge, welcoming art lovers, students, creatives, from across Albania and beyond. Under the curatorial vision of Massimo Scaringella, and with GOCAT’s commitment to openness and accessibility, “Lakuriq” becomes an inclusive space to experience contemporary artistic expression.
“Lakuriq” challenges audiences to rethink what it means to be seen, physically, emotionally, and socially and transforms the gallery into a space of shared human reflection.
The exhibition is open to the public from February 9 to March 15, 2026, and entry is free for all visitors.
