On May 8th and 9th, the Pyramid of Tirana was transformed into a hub of youthful energy, creativity, and innovation during the 13th edition of the National Entrepreneurship Festival – GEN-E Albania, organized by Junior Achievement of Albania. At this event, filled with fresh ideas and passion for the future, Tirana Bank, a part of BALFIN Group, demonstrated its commitment to financial education and empowering the new generation for the fourth consecutive year.

This festival gathered 150 students from 41 high schools across Albania, who presented 26 companies conceived, built, and managed by themselves, as part of the “Student Companies” program. The “learning by doing” approach of this program serves as a lively laboratory for developing the entrepreneurial mindset that our country needs.
The student prototypes were diverse: from digital applications and smart devices to handmade products, innovations in agriculture, and solutions for mental well-being. Ideas that show the future is in the safe hands.

At this special event, Mrs. Lila Canaj, Head of the Retail Division at Tirana Bank and the Chairwoman of the Jury, emphasized the importance of this festival in her welcoming speech:
“This event is not just a competition, but a valuable opportunity for young Albanians to express their talent and potential. Tirana Bank is always ready to support them on this journey because we believe that together we can build the leaders of tomorrow.”
For Tirana Bank, education is a long-term investment that helps shape a more informed and capable society. This initiative is one of the many ways in which the banks and companies of our group contribute to the long-term development of the country.
At BALFIN Group, we are motivated by the fact that we are part of initiatives with a real and tangible impact, which encourage innovation, prepare the leaders of tomorrow, and strengthen our connection with the community.
