In the spirit of the World Week of Creativity and Innovation, BALFIN Group has formalized its collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Tirana. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation to evaluate new perspectives and expand opportunities for students.
The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Andrea Maliqari, and the Executive Director of BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, held a meeting and signed a memorandum of cooperation which creates the necessary space for the companies of BALFN Group to support the Polytechnic University of Tirana for a higher quality academic process for students and lecturers, while simultaneously preparing young people for the labor market.
Edlira Muka emphasized that the memorandum of cooperation comes after some positive experiences with the students of this institution. Many engaged in the internship and employment program, as well as in social projects, part of the B4Students program, built to contribute to higher education. “We are committed to incorporating the newest technologies and knowledge into our work processes, and in young people, we see the motivation to drive innovation. Through the B4Students program, we are in constant contact with universities and students, sharing knowledge, resources, and expertise, which can lead to new innovative solutions.”
What the memorandum of cooperation entails
As part of the memorandum, BALFIN Group will offer professional internships, scholarships, and grants for entrepreneurship and social clubs set up by students, through the B4Students program. Cooperation will also be extended to open lectures by BALFIN Group experts, and joint research.
The rector of this university appreciated this important moment to recognize and discuss ideas and needs that strengthen the connection between the university and businesses, an important component in the students’ preparation. He added that “the participation of experts in the auditorium, collaboration on research projects, as well as the engagement of students in internships and specific projects, contribute directly to their formation and experience.”
The Polytechnic University of Tirana is the next institution with which BALFIN Group signed a cooperation agreement, taking its commitment to improving education one step further, as one of the main pillars of its social responsibility. Since 2021, its dedicated program, B4Students, supports students’ professional internships and innovative ventures.
