The Prime Minister of North Macedonia visited East Gate construction site

High Representatives of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, led by the Prime Minister, Mr. Zoran Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister, Responsible for Economic Effairs and coordination with the economic sectors, Mr. Fatmir Bytyqi, Minister of Economy, Mr. Kreshnik Bekteshi, Minister of Transport and Roads, Mr. Blagoj Bochvarski, as well as Mayor Gazi Baba Municipality, visited today East Gate Mall in Skopje.

The on-site visit it was hosted by Samir Mane, Chairman of BALFIN Group, Arsim Papraniku, BALFIN Group Vice President for North Macedonia and Kosovo, and Igor Davkov, CEO of East Gate Mall who explained about the construction progress as well as informed about the structure, size, tenants and activities.   

The Prime Minister, Mr. Zaev expressed his satisfaction to be one of the first visitors in East Gate Mall, the most modern Mall in the Balkans, that has attracted important brand names from all of the world.

““We are proud that East Gate Mall will bring new brands in our country: 250 local and international trade marks. That means new job positions that coincides with our efforts to create favorable working environment for well-paid workers, and attraction of new investments.” said the Prime Minister Mr. Zaev.

BALFIN Group’s Chairman, Samir Mane said to media: “The shopping mall is expected to open in October of this year. I am very happy with the construction progress so far. East Gate Mall will be one of the largest and most modern shopping mall in the Western Balkans region. We are proud to be one of the largest investors in North Macedonia and East Gate will not be last investment of BALFIN Group in North Macedonia.”

The CEO of Skopje East Gate, Mr. Igor Davkov stated: “East Gate Mall is a new generation of shopping malls. It will be developed in an area of 160,000m2 and will be organized in 5 floors with 57,000m2 of total rental area for 250 brands. Skopje will have now the largest shopping mall in the region with many facilities. The total investment of Skopje East Gate is approximately €350 million and the total investment of East Gate Mall only amounts to €103 million.”

East Gate Shopping is envisioned as the new urban center of the city. As one of the biggest shopping and entertainment centers in the region, East Gate Shopping will be the first choice when it comes to shopping with more than 250 brands available.
