“Here and Now” Exhibition Opens at GOCAT Gallery

GOCAT Gallery has opened the exhibition “Here and Now”, a thought-provoking project by North Macedonian- Albanian artist Verim Zendeli. The exhibition reflects on the urgency of the present moment and marks an important milestone in Zendeli’s artistic journey.

Inspired by the writings of philosopher Walter Benjamin, “Here and Now” explores the interplay between memory, identity, and contemporary social realities. Through painting, sculpture, and installation, the exhibition creates an interactive experience where personal and collective narratives meet, inviting audiences to reflect and engage.

Curated by Jelldez Asani and Elton Koritari, the exhibition further enriches GOCAT Gallery’s contemporary program.

Zendeli shared that the project represents both a creative challenge and a deeply personal journey, while curator Jelldez Asani emphasized the artist’s ability to transcend traditional forms and open new dimensions of artistic dialogue.

The opening was attended by Samir Mane, founder of the Mane Foundation. Through its continuous support, the Mane Foundation has enabled GOCAT Gallery to grow into a dynamic cultural space in Tirana, where contemporary art and dialogue thrive. Established as part of BALFIN Group’s broader vision, the Foundation promotes culture, education, and social development, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to building sustainable value for communities across the region.

The exhibition “Here and Now” is open to the public at GOCAT Gallery, Tirana, with free admission. Visitors are welcome Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00, until October 20, 2025.
