Adri Duqi – Food Corner Assistant, InterSPAR TEG

In Down Syndrome Awareness October, we are happy to share the success story of Adri, one of the dearest employees of SPAR Albania. You might even recognize him because he’s that hard-working guy at InterSPAR TEG, who helps you at the Food Corner. Or maybe you saw him on “E Diela Shqiptare”, when his colleagues surprised him with the “Employee of the Month” award.

Adri is more than the employee of the month. His case is proof of the willingness of the company where he works, as well as that of the entire BALFIN Group, to provide the right conditions for the inclusivity and integration of people with Down syndrome in society.

This October and every month of the year, Adri is a source of inspiration and a reminder that success knows no obstacles.

Tell us about your professional journey at SPAR.

I am Adri and I have been working at SPAR for 2 years. I am a hardworking, sweet guy and I like working with customers.

Describe the best day you’ve had at work.

The best day I’ve had at work was when I got invited to Ardit Gjebrea’s “E Diela Shqiptare Show”. There I was presented with the Employee of the Month Award, a trophy, and a certificate of appreciation from the CEO of SPAR Albania and my colleagues.

What has been your biggest challenge at SPAR?

My daily work and getting to know colleagues.

What is your favorite part of the job?

I love helping customers.
