BALFIN Training Academy 2020 – 2021 edition concluded with the training on IFRS Standards held during September. Three groups with a total of 45 participants – managers and senior specialists of finance departments from all group companies in the region – participated in the training lead by AIEx trainer, Sonila Biçaku, at the premises of TBU.
This technical training was entirely tailored to the finance departments of BALFIN Group companies. Its focus was to update and deepen knowledge on international financial reporting standards for all finance department staff engaged in the preparation of financial statements.
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are a set of accounting rules for the financial statements of companies that are intended to make them consistent, transparent, and easily comparable around the world. These standards have been adopted for use in 120 countries, including those in the European Union.
This session came as an annual initiative in the organization of trainings focused on international financial reporting standards, in order to increase the quality of the consolidated financial statements of BALFIN Group as well as its companies individually.
As part of the training, the Corporate Finance team was involved, presenting the new Business Plan preparation package for BALFIN Group companies and some of the new group-level reporting procedures.
Since 2018, BALFIN Group is positioned as a pioneer of international standards, with the publication of the Annual Financial Report, according to the best examples of corporations in the world.
