On Friday, March 28th, representatives from BALFIN Group, including leaders from the Digital Transformation and IT departments, alongside Neptun, Happy and Tirana Bank participated in “Money Motion” fintech conference in Zagreb. With over 2,000 participants, from industry giants to emerging innovators, the event was buzzing with ideas, game changing solutions, and a collective drive to shape the future of the fintech landscape.
As the largest and most influential conference in the region for payments, fintech, and digital wallets, Money Motion provided the perfect platform to showcase new trends and explore the rapidly expanding digital ecosystem. BALFIN Group is at the forefront of this evolution, pushing the boundaries of innovation and disrupting industries with smart, scalable solutions.
Gjergj Spaho, Chief Information Officer at BALFIN Group, highlighted a fascinating trend: the region is leapfrogging advanced countries in fintech adoption. With mobile money and digital wallets on the rise and traditional card usage declining, financial inclusion is accelerating in real-time. This moment is especially exciting for BALFIN Group, which is focused on leveraging these new opportunities to enhance financial ecosystems.
Matilda Shehu, Chief Transformation Officer at BALFIN Group, also reflected on the conference. Meanwhile, Neptun CEO Alexandros Kosenas delivered a keynote address on the topic “Digital Transformation in Retail and Its Impact on Retail Operations.”
His presentation focused on how digital technologies are reshaping the retail landscape, from operational efficiencies and data driven decision making to enhance customer experience and evolving team structures. He emphasized the importance of innovation and agility in adapting to the rapidly changing consumer and technology environment.
In the conference, also participated Daniela Malaj, CEO of Happy Shpk, Elvis Xhaxho, Digital Banking Product Manager at Tirana Bank and and Orhan Hajri, Project Management Senior Specialist at BALFIN Group.
