Describe your professional journey at BALFIN Group.
My professional career at BALFIN group is not too long, but it coincides with the establishment of the company in Montenegro. In May 2019, the process of opening the first JUMBO store in our country began and it was then that I started working at BALFIN group. For the next two years, I worked as a store manager in Podgorica. In 2021, the project of opening our new store in Kotor began and I was promoted to a new position, Operational Manager, which I currently hold.
What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work at BALFIN Group?
When I joined BALFIN group, I was not aware of what kind of company I came to. Already in the first few months of my work, I realized what kind of company it is and how many opportunities it offers. Then, I was sure that I had made the right choice and that I had found a place where I would develop myself professionally, but also on a personal level.
What are you most proud of in your career at BALFIN Group?
The last two years have been very challenging in every way and only good strategy, communication and teamwork could overcome it. I am very proud of how, with the help of my colleagues, I managed complex situations.
Describe a recent professional achievement that you believe also contributes to your personal success.
The promotion to my current position was definitely a professional achievement that marked my year on a personal level. It was a confirmation to me that my effort and hard work was recognized in the company. The support I have means a lot to me and it gives me a reason to continue with even more enthusiasm and energy.
What’s something that happened that can only happen at BALFIN Group?
The previous company I worked for was the largest one in Montenegro. However, I always wanted to have experience working in a multinational company. Meetings and cooperation with people from other countries, different cultures, companies of different industries merged into one company… All of this you can have only at BALFIN Group, and that experience is something you cannot have in any local company no matter how big it is.
Describe the best day you’ve had at work.
The best day was the opening of a new JUMBO store in Kotor. Months of preparation and hard work were to be seen that day. Everything went perfectly, without a single mistake. The long process of preparation was full of difficulties and challenges, but with teamwork we overcame them. The synergy of our team in Montenegro and the support we had from our colleagues from Albania at all levels were present throughout the work. When it was all over, I didn’t feel tired, I felt happy.
