Nazlie Nerguti – Leasing Manager, QTU
Five years, five roles, and a career built one opportunity at a time.
Every career journey starts somewhere. For Nazlie Nerguti, Leasing Manager at QTU, it began five years ago with an internship at BALFIN Group, a willingness to learn, and the ambition to grow professionally.
What started as an opportunity to gain experience gradually evolved into a career shaped by new responsibilities, valuable lessons, and continuous development. From Intern to Junior Leasing Specialist, Leasing Specialist, Senior Leasing Specialist, and ultimately Leasing Manager, Nazlie’s journey reflects the opportunities for internal growth within BALFIN Group.
Today, she shares her experience, the lessons she has learned along the way, and what continues to inspire her to build her career at BALFIN.
Looking back, what made you choose BALFIN Group, and when did you realize it was the right decision?
Five years ago, I joined BALFIN Group as an intern because I wanted to start my career in a company where I could really learn. At the time, I didn’t know exactly where the journey would take me, but I knew it was a place with a good reputation and a lot of opportunities. Looking back now, I think I realized I had made the right choice when I saw that hard work was noticed and that I was being given more responsibility over time.
How has your journey here evolved over time?
It’s been a gradual journey. I began my career with the company as an intern and progressively advanced through the roles of Junior Leasing Specialist, Leasing Specialist, and Senior Leasing Specialist. Six months ago, I was promoted to the position of Leasing Manager, reflecting my continued professional growth and increasing responsibilities within the organization. Every position taught me something different, and each one prepared me for the next. Looking back, I’m grateful to see how much I’ve learned and grown over the past five years.
What does a typical day in your role look like?
There isn’t really a “typical” day, and that’s probably one of my favorite things about the job. Some days are focused on meetings with tenants, others on negotiations, contracts, or working with different teams to move projects forward. There are always new situations to deal with, which keeps the job interesting.
What part of your work excites or motivates you the most?
I enjoy working with people and seeing ideas become reality. Whether it’s bringing in a new brand, finding a solution during negotiation, or helping a project move forward, it’s satisfying to see the results of the work the team has put in.
Can you share a moment or achievement that made you feel truly proud?
For me, the biggest achievement isn’t one specific moment, but the journey itself. Looking back, I feel proud of how much I have grown, both professionally and personally, and of the progress I have made throughout the years.
Every role and every challenge has taught me something valuable, helped me develop new skills, and prepared me for the next step. I believe success is not only about reaching a new position, but also about the impact you make along the way.
Being part of a strong team, contributing to our leasing performance, building strong relationships, and continuously developing my skills have all played an important role in my growth. Reaching the position of Leasing Manager is a milestone I am truly proud of, but what I value most is the journey that led me here and everything I have learned along the way.
What’s something about BALFIN Group that you think people from the outside might not expect?
From the outside, people see a large company, but once you’re part of it, you realize how much collaboration there is between teams. People are approachable, willing to help, and you never feel like you’re on your own when facing a challenge. Over the years, many of the people I work with have become much more than colleagues they feel like a second family, and I think that’s really special.
In your experience, what makes BALFIN a place where people can really grow?
Speaking from my own experience, if you’re willing to learn and take responsibility, you’ll be given opportunities. My career has grown step by step over the years, and I think that’s because the company gives people the chance to prove themselves.
What keeps you inspired to keep building your career here?
For me, it’s the feeling that there’s always room to grow. Every role I’ve had has taught me something new, and every step has opened the door to the next one. After five years, I still feel challenged, I still enjoy what I do, and I’m excited to see what comes next. It’s rewarding to be part of a company where you can build your career over time, and I hope to continue growing together with BALFIN for many years to come.
