Aleksander Bucaj- Retail Manager, Flying Tiger Copenhagen

Aleksander, take us behind the scenes of your journey at BALFIN Group. What’s the story of how you came on board and what’s kept you excited to stay?

My professional journey began in 2017 at one of the group’s most important companies, Jumbo, where I started as a warehouse employee. Shortly after, I was promoted to Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

Working in a company that is always growing like Jumbo, I got the chance to continue developing. Later, I became Operational Controller for the whole Jumbo network. That experience was very important for me, as it helped me grow both professionally and personally.

In 2023, I took on a new role as Store Manager.

Every step in this journey has shown me that the company truly believes in its people.

Today, I’m happy to continue my journey at Flying Tiger Copenhagen in the role of Retail Manager. I feel lucky and grateful for the trust and support I’ve received during all these years, and I’m excited to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work at BALFIN Group?

There wasn’t a single moment when I realized I had made the right decision, it happens naturally. Once you become part of the company, the dedication and commitment of the people make you feel included. Without even noticing, you have already made your choice.

What are you most proud of in your career at BALFIN Group?

I am proud to be part of one of the leading groups in our country. It is a privilege that makes me feel honored and motivated.

Describe a recent professional achievement that you believe also contributes to your personal success

My recent promotion to Retail Manager and the trust placed in me to help develop and lead a new company, which brings innovation to the Albanian market and beyond, is a significant achievement.
The company’s success is also a personal success for me, and I am excited to continue contributing to its growth.

What’s something that happened that can only happen at BALFIN Group?

The diversity of companies within the group and the opportunity to be part of a big family like Balfin are unique experiences you won’t find everywhere.

Describe the best day you’ve had at work

It’s hard to name just one day, especially in retail where every day brings something new. But for me, 2024 was a truly meaningful year. We reached our goals, grew stronger as a team, and turned challenges into opportunities. Seeing the team thrive, feeling positive energy at work, and knowing our efforts made a difference, that’s what made the year so special for me.
