Igli, your journey within BALFIN Group reflects continuous growth and evolution. Can you take us through your transition to ACREM and how this move expanded your professional horizon?
My transition to ACREM came as part of a broader strategic shift to consolidate Commercial Asset Management under one dedicated unit. This evolution significantly expanded my professional horizon. At ACREM, I am exposed to a wider and more diverse client portfolio, including well-established international and local brands. This has allowed me to move beyond traditional lease agreements and focus on building long-term, value-driven partnerships across multiple assets within the Group.
This transition has strengthened my approach to business, making it more partnership-oriented and forward-looking, while also supporting my continuous professional growth.
Every new environment brings new energy. What did stepping into ACREM unlock for you in terms of perspective, ambition, and impact?
I realized almost immediately that BALFIN operates with a unique rhythm of synergy and inspiration. Once you align with that rhythm, you begin to see opportunities everywhere.
Joining ACREM unlocked a broader perspective for me not only in terms of ambition, but also in the scale of impact I can create. The dynamic environment, combined with supportive and driven colleagues, has reinforced my belief that I made the right step. It’s a place where collaboration, innovation, and shared goals truly come together.
What achievement in your current role best represents the impact you’re creating today?
One of the achievements I value most is the development of a strong and diverse client portfolio, built on trust and professional partnerships.
Beyond that, what truly represents my impact is the ability to continuously identify and create new collaboration opportunities across different assets, turning relationships into long-term value for both the Group and our partners.
Growth is often built in the small, everyday decisions. What habits, mindset, or approach have helped you continuously evolve in your role?
A mindset that has always guided me is: “Where there is a will, there is a way.” I also strongly believe that what brought me here will not necessarily bring me there, growth requires staying open to new challenges, new perspectives, and new ways of thinking. I believe in creating: creating value, creating opportunities, and creating the right energy around me. Whether it’s building a new partnership, introducing an innovative idea, or opening new doors, I approach my role with a proactive and creative mindset.
At the same time, I continuously challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone, because real growth comes from pushing boundaries and adapting to change. I try to remain curious, open-minded, and willing to rethink familiar approaches in order to evolve both personally and professionally. At the end of the day, what matters most to me is being proud of what I’ve built, the impact I’ve made, and the value I’ve added along the way.
What motivates you on a regular day, beyond targets and results? What keeps your drive strong?
Strong relationships and positive energy keep me driven. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, exchanging ideas, and building partnerships that create long-term value.
In my role, what I visualize and work towards often becomes tangible in a relatively short time, whether it’s a new partnership, a commercial concept, or a developed space. That ability to create something real and impactful is what gives me the most satisfaction and keeps my drive strong.
For someone reading your story and thinking about their own next step, what would you say about embracing change and growth within BALFIN Group?
I would say: embrace change with an open mindset and see it as an opportunity rather than a challenge. Within BALFIN Group, change often comes with growth, exposure, and new possibilities. If you are willing to step out of your comfort zone, stay proactive, and take ownership, you will find that the organization offers the right environment to evolve both professionally and personally. Growth here is not just about moving roles, it’s about expanding your way of thinking.
If someone could step into your shoes for a day, what would surprise them most about your role and your journey?
What would probably surprise someone most is the level of dynamism in my role. It’s not just about managing assets, it’s about constantly identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and finding creative ways to generate value. There is a strong element of persistence as well, believing in ideas and pushing them forward until they become successful realities.
Every day brings a new challenge, and that’s what makes the journey both demanding and rewarding.
