Ani Hafizi – Director of Finance/SPAR Albania
Being for five years in the same Group of companies is a necessary time to make a summary of your accomplishments, difficulties, and new challenges ahead.
We can entirely agree that for Ani Hafizi, her professional experience coincides with a very important era of BALFIN Group, that of growth and continuous expansion in this last five years.

- For how long have you been part of the BALFIN Group team?
- I have been part of BALFIN Group for five years and I may say that these years have flown by. When you work to overcome difficult challenges, seemingly impossible at first sight, you receive an even greater job satisfaction and time goes by so fast.
- What job positions have you had during this time?
- My first job in BALFIN Group was as an Audit and Financial Reporting Manager at the Group’s Finance Department. It is indeed a very big responsibility to monitor from a financial point of view all of the Group companies, which have increased significantly year after year. The Group Finance Department itself has changed by being restructured and reinforced with professionals in line with the needs of the relevant sectors of the Departments.
- What was your role in these positions?
- With the Group’s development at the national and international level as well as with the large investments in various industries, my job as a Control and Financial Reporting Manager has had of course its challenges. These are mainly related to the standardization of financial reporting at the Group level, the unification of the Group’s financial procedures as well as the preparation of the first consolidated statements of BALFIN Group, a multi-month work and a beautiful, unique experience in the field of finance.
- How do you see the position you currently hold?
- For nearly six months, I have been promoted to the position of Finance Director at SPAR Albania. There are two differences that I find. The first is the transition from a diversified portfolio covering many companies at once, to the day-to-day challenges of a single company, also very dynamic in the retail field. Every day, I am more and more involved in the company’s operations that aim at the dynamic expansion of the number of SPAR markets in Albania. The second difference is the direct management of a team of professionals, part of the Finance department, another daily challenge that requires uninterrupted attention and care. I have always approached these challenges as the only way to accomplish beautiful things. After a few years, when I look back, I want to see change, improvement and feel that I have truly contributed through my work, with dedication and energy.
- What are the plans, challenges and objectives for further development of BALFIN Group?
- After nearly a decade of professional experience in Albania, I can fully confirm that BALFIN group is the only Group in the country which provides you with the opportunity to learn, grow professionally, and apply your skills by becoming an expert in your field.
