As consumers grow more informed and the retail industry changes rapidly, it is important to evolve, adapt and optimize retail practices. To meet this demand, on September 8th, BALFIN Group organized the Balfin Strategic Retail Workshop, a one day interactive and practical learning intervention designed to provide Group retail companies with innovative tools and schemes to tackle today’s B2C challenges.
Following the first edition of Balfin Retail Forum last month, this workshop is one of the many results translated into actions. “Balfin Strategic Retail Workshop aims to convey a common understanding and approach in order to design good growth plans, enable implementation excellence and achieve solid growth for retail companies and individuals involved,” said Vice President of Retail, Julian Mane, in his introduction. Lead by two Goodfaith Strategic Advisory experts, Vladislav Lalic and Dragan Skalusevic, the workshop gathered executive directors from all group retail companies in Albania and the region: ACREM, FGA, Neptun International, Jumbo Network, SPAR, and OnSolutions.
During the workshop, a strategic change management model used from successful global retailers was introduced, where current strategic aspects of business activity and operations, as well as future projections were mapped in. Following the workshop, BALFIN Management and external consultants met to discuss the assessment and accomplishment of objectives. “We plan to continue to work with conclusions from the workshop in a structured way, which will enable us to capture market opportunities, but also to achieve common understanding and commitment in the implementation plans,” Vice President of Retail, Julian Mane, said with regards to the next steps.
