Irena Gjurgjevska joined BALFIN Group 14 years ago at Neptun Macedonia. It seems like a lifetime, but she remembers when she first started like it was yesterday. Irena has come a long way and recently she assumed an acclaimed position as the Fuego Brand Coordinator at Neptun Macedonia. She is the perfect example of a hardworking and ambitious employee. In this interview, Irena tells her successful journey.
Describe your professional journey at BALFIN Group.
My journey at BALFIN Group started in 2007. At first, I started working at one of the Neptun shops as a sales person. When I think of those days, it seemed to me then that it would be really hard. I was asking myself: “Will I be able to learn all those things for all the goods that we are selling?” Eventually, I learned and enjoyed every day selling them. That lasted for only 3 years, until Neptun opened a new shop, so there was demand for cashiers. And that is when I changed my position from a sales person to cashier until 2012.
From 2013 until this year, I had been working as Commercial Administrator, a job that’s worth every single day at work; cooperating, communicating and being included in all fields with every single department. From this year on, I assumed a new position as the Fuego Brand Coordinator, different from all the rest during my journey at Neptun, and I can say that except it is new, it is also very interesting and challenging every day, especially working for all 3 Neptun offices -Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work at BALFIN Group?
There was not one special moment when I realized that it was the right decision. It is a constant feeling all these years that I am in the right place and I that am given the opportunity to constantly learn and improve my qualities.
What are you most proud of in your career at BALFIN Group?
I am proud of knowing that there are people at BALFIN Group who can recognize the potential in hard working employees, and for that purpose, reward these employees by promoting them.
Describe the best day you’ve had at work.
The best day I have had was the day when I got the job position as a Commercial Administrator. It was on my birthday and I had the day off, but I was called to come to the office. I thought that I was called only to be interviewed, but I realized that I was called to be informed that I was promoted. It was the best day and birthday J
